Technology is another area where the 2024 Grand Cherokee really shines. The 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5 allows for customization of up to 5 profiles, so everyone in the family can have their perfect setup. Even front-seat passengers have their very own console!

Music lovers will want to upgrade to the McIntosh audio setup. With a 17-channel amplifier delivering up to 950 watts of power through 19 custom-designed speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer, you'll feel like you're at a concert every time you hit the road.

Other high-tech features include a 10-inch full-color Head-Up Display, a wireless charging pad, and a digital rearview mirror. And, of course, there's a vast suite of safety features, which earned it the coveted spot on the IIHS Top Safety Picks list.

Before we tell you the 2024 Grand Cherokee's towing capacity, you're probably wondering where all that power comes from.

The Grand Cherokee is powered by a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine featuring Electronic Stop/Start Technology. This beast delivers 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an 8-speed Automatic 8HP50 Transmission, it can tow up to 6,200 pounds.

As a result, you've got more than enough for boats, ATVs, and small campers. Rest assured, the Jeep Grand Cherokee still delivers legendary capability when the pavement ends. Its available Quadra-Lift air suspension, Selec-Terrain traction management system, and Selec-Speed control make short work of mud, sand, and snow.

The most affordable way into Grand Cherokee ownership is the new Laredo A. Now, it may not have all the bells and whistles, but it still looks and performs like a proper Jeep. Mind you, there are still plenty of nice-to-haves!

For instance, the driver's seat is 8-way power-adjustable for a comfortable ride. Entertainment comes from a Uconnect 5 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and six speakers. There's also a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet to charge devices on the go.

On the outside, heated power mirrors provide visibility in all conditions. Liftgate puddle lights, footwell lighting, and LED headlights add form and function. This base model rolls on 17-inch painted aluminum wheels.

Moving up just a bit, the Laredo trim opens up more customization options. Want to protect that pristine paint job? Add front and rear splash guards from Mopar. You also get more exterior color choices than Laredo A's lone white option.

Optional packages let you upgrade the experience even further. The Luxury Tech Group, for example, includes heated front seats and steering wheel, a power liftgate, a wireless charging pad, and more.

Slowly moving up the ladder, the Laredo X doesn't change much from the standard Laredo. However, its upgrades make a big visual impact. You now get 18-inch painted aluminum wheels and a power sunroof to let light and fresh air in.

Now, with the Altitude trim, we're stepping into luxury territory. Upgraded Capri leatherette and suede seats coddle occupants with heating functionality. That heating extends to the steering wheel on cold morning commutes. When it's raining, rain-sensitive windshield wipers automatically clear your view.

A black headliner sets an upscale tone inside the cabin. You also get more power options like a 115-volt outlet and wireless device charging pad. The 18-inch wheels are now gloss black, matching other exterior accents.

A power liftgate makes accessing the cargo area effortless. Gloss black roof rails provide additional storage possibilities. Lastly, a remote start system lets you warm up or cool down the Grand Cherokee before you even step outside.

Building off the Altitude, the Altitude X adds one show-stopping upgrade: a power sunroof. Enjoy extra light, stellar views, and fresh air at the push of a button.

The Limited trim is easily spotted by its signature "Limited" badge. The biggest addition is the Uconnect 5 Nav, which now has a 10.1-inch touch screen display and six premium speakers. They're better than the other 6-speaker systems, so test them out with the new HD Radio feature. GPS navigation also comes standard.

You now have ambient LED lighting and a new interior color option: Wicker Beige. That's because the seats are now full Capri leatherette. Passengers are blessed, too, with the 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat.

Heated side mirrors now come with turn signal indicators and memory settings for multiple drivers. Upgraded brakes and a tire pressure monitoring display add confidence and convenience.

The Overland takes refinement to new heights. Its Nappa leather seats are heated and ventilated to keep you comfortable in any weather. Nine amplified speakers plus a subwoofer powered by a 506-watt amplifier turn the cabin into the perfect sound space.

One of the biggest upgrades is the dual-pane panoramic sunroof, which brightens the interior. An auto-dimming rearview mirror prevents glare at night. The Overland gains an automatic-dimming exterior driver mirror and automatic power-folding mirrors, as well as exterior mirror approach lamps, door courtesy lamps, and exterior front lighting animation.

You also get multi-color ambient LED interior lighting instead of just one color. Minor styling enhancements like painted lower front and rear fascias and painted wheel flares bring sophistication. And the wheels are upgraded to 20-inch machined face aluminum wheels.

The hands-free power liftgate is a game-changer - simply wave your foot under the rear bumper, and the liftgate will open automatically. "Overland" badging and a windshield wiper deicer confirm this trim's upscale status. Finally, ParkSense front and rear assist with tricky parking situations.

The top of the mountain is the Summit (no pun intended). Luxury touches include a wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel and Nappa leather door trim. Speaking of leather, the seats are Nappa as well, with heating, ventilation, and massage functionality. Premium Berber floor mats protect from winter slush and summer sand.

Both front passengers get 12-way power seats with memory settings. A surround-view camera system with integrated off-road views helps you see all angles. There's also an integrated off-road camera. New safety technology includes drowsy driver detection, parallel/perpendicular park assist, and side distance warning.

Outside, you finally get a two-tone paint group with chrome accents and a black-painted roof to make a bold contrast. The trailer-tow package comes standard with a 7-pin and 4-pin wiring harness, class IV receiver hitch, and more things you need to reach max towing capacity.

The Reserve version has a few upgrades worth noting, making it the best of the best. For example, the Nappa leather is swapped for quilted Palermo leather on the seats and door inserts. This top-tier trim also gets an incredible sound system with a 19-speaker high-performance audio setup and a 950-watt amplifier.

This trim level is where the front passenger interactive display comes into play. We didn't forget about the rear seats - they now get ventilation, too. Outside, you get the biggest of all 21-inch machined face/painted aluminum wheels.
